Action Packed created a 6-card embossed set in 1988 to show their technique to MLB and the MLBPA however, they were not awarded a license.

Action Packed created a single set of basketball cards in 1995, produced football cards from 1990 to 1997, produced hockey cards in 1993 and 1995, produced racing cards in 1990 and from 1992 to 1997, and WWF wrestling cards in 1994 and 1995.

Action Packed had certificates within boxes which could be redeemed for 18-karat solid gold trading cards. They also included cards stamped with 24-karat gold.

Action Packed had exclusive braille cards within their products.

Pinnacle Brands acquired the brand in 1995, and Donruss/Playoff acquired the brand when they acquired Pinnacle Brands in 1998.
