Product Preview – 2010 Bowman Chrome Baseball

Topps has released the basic information for 2010 Bowman Chrome baseball cards. Although it would have been bigger news before his injury, the set will include a Chrome autograph of Washington National’s rookie Stephen Strasburg.

Arriving in mid-October and including one autograph per hobby box, the autograph checklist will also consist of prospects who did not appear in 2010 Bowman.

The base set will consist of 110 Chrome prospect cards, with Refractor, Blue, Gold, Orange, Red and Super parallels. The set will also include 20 members of the USA Baseball Under-18 team with autographed cards. The USA team member cards will be found one in five boxes as a bonus autograph. In addition, there will also be 10 dual-signed USA autograph cards.

The Topps 100 Prospects set will return in Chrome with the various refractor parallels. Based on previous information, Reds should be numbered to 5, Orange to 25, Gold to 50, Blue to 150, and Refractor to 500. Of course, the always sought-after SuperFractors are all 1/1 exclusives!

The 220-card Chrome set will consist of 180 veterans and 40 rookies, all with the rainbow of Refractor cards. Among the rookies in the set are Stephen Strasburg, Ian Desmond, Austin Jackson, Jason Heyward, Aroldis Chapman, Drew Stubbs, Starlin Castro and Tyler Colvin.
